A Bit About Me

I’ve been a Speech-Language Pathologist for over a decade with the opportunity to practice in various settings including sensory integration and Floortime clinics, hospitals, schools, private practice and within the home. My therapeutic practice focuses on understanding the multidimensional causes of speech and language disorders, and implementing a holistic treatment approach encompassing the cognitive, social-emotional, sensory, and physical needs of each individual. My goal is to be of service to you— so that you, your child, or your family member can be the most engaging and effective communicator possible.

My areas of expertise include receptive and expressive language disorders, motor speech and articulation disorders, language-based learning disorders, language and auditory processing difficulties, sensory feeding difficulties, aphasia, word finding/anomia, and social and cognitive communication challenges (e.g., memory, reasoning, executive functioning, and functional language).

I supervise clinical interns and fellows, mentor developing clinicians, and provide parent coaching and inservices to families, schools, and other professionals about communication, speech, language, feeding, and social interaction. I have a growing interest in content writing and advising technology start ups with a primary focus on development and parent coaching.

When I am not working, you can find me wrangling two rambunctious (but adorable) boys, ignoring my (amazing) husband’s complaints about my online shopping habits, enjoying a pilates class, playing at the beach, planning our next travel adventure, or just nerding out over the latest brain research.
