Screenings and Evaluations

Screenings are brief clinical observations of your child’s communication development and can indicate whether your child needs an in-depth assessment. Evaluations entail a dynamic and comprehensive analysis of your child’s foundational communication skills, motor-speech and sound production, oral motor, language understanding and use, social communication, play, and overall development by using standardized assessments and clinical expertise. Sensory-feeding evaluations are also available. The process of each evaluation will vary as it will be specifically tailored to the individual child.

Individualized Therapy

Therapy sessions for this age group are play based, family centered, and specifically tailored to each child. Services are typically 1:1, often involving caretakers or parents, and take place in the home, or, occasionally, in a daycare or school setting. Co-treatments and collaborations with other team members (educators, occupational therapists, physical therapists, pediatricians, etc.) are an integral part of the therapeutic process.
